Madrona Venture Group is a venture capital company, founded in 1995. With their headquarters in Seattle, WA, Madrona targets investments in early-stage technology companies from the Pacific Northwest. Companies funded include Enterprise Software and Services, Consumer Software and Services, and Wireless, Networking and Infrastructure. Successfull previous investments include Amazon.com, Dantz, LiveBid, and Overstock.com. Current investments include WildTangent, ShareBuilder, TripHub and Isilon, the digital storage company which last December debuted in the market] with the "best opening performance for a technology IPO in more than 6 years (Seattle Post-Intelligencer: Isilon soars in market debut, 12 December 2007). The team at Madrona Venture Group features former entrepreneurs, corporate CEOs, strategic advisers and active board members for hundreds of public and private companies, providing a wealth of expertise in the ins and outs of business, from products to customers to leadership. This experience is translated daily to their portfolio companies, in advice ranging from recruiting, strategy development and execution and raising and allocation of resources. Primarily, the team works on several fronts:
