The Magic Dragons Sports Club is a diverse group devoted to the sport of dragon boating. We enjoy paddling hard, being competitive and having loads of fun!

The Magic Dragons is a dragon boat team based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We started paddling in the summer of 1998 as a team sponsored by NOVA Corporation at the Alberta Dragon Boat Festival in Calgary, at that time we were all employees of NOVA Corporation so we called ourselves NOVA�s ARK. By the spring of 1999 we had registered as an amateur Sports Club and had changed our name to The Magic Dragons.

Our team consists of fun-loving, active people who come from various walks of life and represent age groups ranging from 19 to 40+. The club member base is multi-cultural, and inclusive of many areas in the workplace such as scientists, engineers, accountants, draftsmen, and of course many aspects of the computer industry (geeks).
