- My very strong willed, determined wonderful little Bear…Today at Kellars therapy there were 2 nursing students who sat in on his session, Brenda was telling them Kellars history and stuff when she looks at me and says ” I am going to be honest with you, I really didn’t think he’d be walking before Christmas and here it is not even Thanksgiving and he’s walking”….I was shocked in a way, I mean he’s done great, he’s came so far and he has proven to them not once but several times that he is going to do what he wants to do when he wants to do it…Yes I will admit I am the worlds worst at expecting Kellar to be doing things when these “milestone” charts say he should but I soon come to realize that he WILL do it, when he’s ready…So needless to say we had to set new goals and now they are to be more steady and *sure* of himself when stepping, and of course walk more than 6 steps but hey at least he’s doing it right…Speech..I think this is going really well, in the last few weeks Kellar has really taken off in this area as well, he has started trying to repeat things that you say to him and he is really into talking to himself when he’s playing…We bought Kellar a Elmo that says his name, favorite colors,food, animal and so many other things, he loves it, but of course anything Elmo is a hit with him…I have also noticed that Kellar likes pens, so we bought him a *doodle pad* and he has been quite the artist the last few days…Tonight Joey brought in a pumpkin and some kid friendly paint and let him paint his pumpkin…and the floor…Tomorrow we will go to Dallas for Kellars RSV shot and to pick out his big boy frames…
