- This month’s Blind Contour First Friday theme is “something we’d do on a day off.” The theme was chosen by Niff and Sutter in honor of Labor Day, which is only celebrated in the US, as far as I know. I can’t think of anything I’d rather do with a day off than to draw or paint, so I did a blind contour drawing of my new easel, which brings me hours of painting pleasure. This unique model ( illustrated here) features an advanced anti-gravity system which allows the canvas holder to be hovered in any position the artist desires, and can be adjusted with the mere touch of a fingertip. Note how it floats above the sketchbox where the brushes and paints are stored. Pat. Pending.
