Description

Excerpted from the website:

Hi. This is the section where you normally read about CEOs, EEOs, who reports to who and all of that other boring stuff. The concept of Forbidden Piercings body jewelry started in January of 2009. I knew nothing about web design much less building a website. As a hobby, I enjoy building and repairing computers, surfing the net, and making and selling hemp and cowrie shell jewelry. The handmade jewelry will be for sale on the website, and I do have various body piercings. VeriQik, (a local company), claimed, "we can build your business a professional website to fit both your budget, and your needs". VeriQik couldn't do either one. For starters, I didn't have $1500 dollars which was the quoted price to have the website built. And secondly, it only included 3 web pages with no shopping cart! What could be done with that? Start a blog? I was determined to have a website to my liking and hopefully to the liking of my future customers and friends as well. Research began by looking at various websites and discovered alot of bland, cookie cutter, point and click type e-stores. It was like the same website with a different name. When shopping online, I don't care for distractions, flashy animations, advertising banners, or pop-ups so you will not get any of that here. I also like to see some artistic effort was put into the site, as well as, not have a browser sized product image staring me in the face. Just 'click to enlarge' under the item, and you'll get an image with detail on this site. The price you see of an item IS the price of the item. I don't give you choices of length, size, color, gauge, or etc. and add anywhere from .50 to $2.50 per choice making a $3.00 item end up costing $12.50 or more. I found a terrible template that had so many bugs even a Terminex man would get out his sprayer. The website started showing signs of improvement after working upwards of thirteen hours a day for many weeks. The Forbidden Piercings website has been tested in different web browsers including Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari. If you experience any problems with this website, please contact me. The company logo was designed with Photoshop. The Forbidden Piercings name was chosen because aren't most piercings "forbidden" until you're a certain age or you're "out of the house"? Have an enjoyable experience at Forbidden Piercings, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
