At Clumps of Mascara, we love to celebrate mistakes. While some may equate beauty with sheer perfection and fool-proof images, we have another definition. Our motto “Because everybody ain’t there yet” reminds us that it is okay to not be knowledgeable in all areas of beauty. To prove this, we feature articles and pictures that display less than perfect images. We talk about easy applications, indulge in cheaper brand items (but don't mind a splurge every now and then) and enjoy learning the simple techniques. As Women of color, some of us have struggled to find inner and outer beauty. For so long we have been told that the image of beauty does not look like what we see in the mirror. Series like “But Black Women Can’t” attempt to change that idea. We are now redefining beauty for ourselves!
