- Sajid Huq, writing as Jajabor , studied History, Economics and Mathematics at Dartmouth College. He did a year of graduate work at SOAS, University of London, and is in the middle of a doctoral program while being a Teaching Fellow at Columbia University. After brief stints at Credit Suisse First Boston and Morgan Stanley, Sajid has chosen an academic career, focusing on the Middle East and South Asia . He maintains an active interest in public policy, journalism and creative writing. Shayan Khan, writing as Shye, is a student of social science, held back only by his laziness from social activism. Born and raised in Dhaka , he was wasting away towards a quite horrific end to his life’s academic endeavors (his GPA at one point was struggling to get to multi-figures) before his father packed him off to the shores of Britain , where he found rejuvenation in the Midlands , and emancipation in London . Currently at the University College London, his interests vary widely, and somewhat disarmingly, often. By and large though, they do steer clear of technology, which he finds quite intimidating. Saif I. Shah Mohammed, writing as Shamshir , is currently a law student at Columbia University. He spent 2005-6 in Bangladesh , where he was one of the architects of the $180 million BRAC micro credit securitization, the world’s first securitization of micro-credit receivables. Prior to that, he worked in Boston as an economic and litigation consultant. Saif graduated from Harvard in 2002 with a degree in economics. Nabilah Siddiquee, writing as herself, graduated from Yale with a degree in History and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. She is currently a graduate student at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard, and has spent time studying in Egypt and Jordan .
