- So what is Petesfriends.com? This site was created by my wife Janean as a service to our friends who are unfortunately incarcerated in N.Y.’s prison system. There’s a big difference between Petesfriends.com and other inmate pen-pal services. All the other prison pen-pal sites out there will take ads from any prisoner, regardless of who they are or what they are in prison for. You just never know who you’ll be writing to.
