REVIEW OF HOODIA XPF
Hoodia Gordonii has taken the supplement world by storm recently, and Hoodia XPF is yet another product to taut the effectiveness of this African plant. NutraCore, the company that manufactures Hoodia XPF claims that their product is unique in its quality and purity, and contains no substitutes or fillers. This might be true, but there are several companies that offer products containing pure, good quality Hoodia. In cases like this, the differences in effectiveness lie in the overall formula, rather than one specific ingredient.

REVIEW OF Hoodia XPF
Hoodia XPF, (NutraThin) ingredients include: Hoodia, Citrus Aurantium, Magnolia Bark, Green Tea, caffeine, and other ingredients clearly listed at the website. It does not contain the popular and effective patented Bitter Orange extract Advantra-Z® for increasing energy levels.
- Hoodia - the wildly popular herbal remedy used by African Bushmen to suppress appetite and sustain energy. Hoodia is available in many top quality product on today’s market.
- Magnolia Bark – an extract that has been shown to relieve stress as well as to have antioxidant benefits. The extract is sometimes included in weight loss supplements as a supportive element.
- Green Tea – has antioxidant properties and is used in many weight loss supplements for its perceived benefits. This extract contains caffeine and is not recommended for people taking aspirin or blood thinning medications. It is advised that some users should consult their doctor before increasing additional caffeine intake, because caffeine may interfere with blood clotting. Be advised that an excessive amount of caffeine is also known to cause restlessness and/or insomnia. More studies are still needed to determine if caffeine is truly beneficial for weight loss.
- Citrus Aurantium - more commonly known as Bitter Orange, has been touted as “the new Ephedra,” and so far studies on its effects have been very promising. It has been used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat chest congestion and stimulate gastrointestinal functions. It functions as a fat burner by stimulating beta-3 receptor sites, which in turn elicits the breakdown of fat. At the same time, the metabolic rate increases, causing thermogenesis.
