Description
Our company started some 30 years ago in the real world of galleries and antique stores. Since the eruption of the internet we have taken our business 100% to the on-line world. We are a family owned and operated business, and specialize in the sale of fine art and antiques. Our art section ranges from the hard to find lithographs to some of the finest original preliminary study pieces created by the top artists of our time - Picasso, Chagall, and Miro - just to name a few. Our antique and collectible section is unlimited and ever growing. Most of the art we carry has been hand signed by the artists. These signatures are authentic and will be shipped with a certificate of authenticity to testify to that fact. We only sell and purchase from reputable inventories, dealers, and private collections, our repeat customers know this. In order to stay in business a company must meet its clients needs and provide quality in the items sold. Originally based in Europe and now the United States, we strive to bring to our web site and the internet the best art possible. We hope you enjoy the items we have to offer and we welcome any questions you may have.

Discussion
I was also advised, regarding Chagall lithographs, that they are being signed by unscrupulous dealers and pawned off as signed copies. The signed ones are on different wider margin paper ( arches ) and signed in the lower right hand corner and numbered in the lower left. They are not signed inside the lithograph. EWG has many with signatures inside the lithograph on the smaller paper... anyone else think this may be fake?

Possible
We bought a painting in the 5-digit US Dollar range from this company. We have since been in contact with some of the most prestigious galleries and experts and they have informed us that this painting is most likely not an original, but a fake. Therefor, we have to assume that European World Gallery are KNOWINGLY selling FAKE paintings as originals. Since i have contacted them about it, they have also refused to respond to emails and phone calls.
Be very careful when dealing with them, or avoid them completely!
