- In 1991, as a student at the University of Southern California, Principal and Owner, Ava (Sirkegian) Lemert began freelancing as a graphic designer around campus to help support herself. Some of the more interesting freelance assignments Ava did were: a storyboard for Rebuild Los Angeles (1992, right after the infamous Rodney King riots), and a USC vs. UCLA teeshirt that appeared on the KTTV Channel 9 evening news.
- After graduation, while continuing to freelance, Ava began work as a graphic designer at a division of Hughes in 1995.
