Southend’s beaches have scooped numerous accolades over the past couple of months, bagging six Seaside Awards, four Blue Flags and praise from the Marine Conservation Society.
East Beach, Shoebury Common, Jubilee Beach and Three Shells all picked up a 2006 Blue Flag, making our town one of the best beach resorts in the UK. Judges were impressed with the beaches’ cleanliness, management and family-friendly facilities.
