About Jimpress Jimi Hendrix magazine
The Jimi Hendrix magazine with a worldwide readership. Jimpress contains all the Jimi Hendrix news that anyone could ever need.
In a few short years Jimi Hendrix changed the face of rock music and electric guitar playing forever. After struggling for years as a sideman for a variety of artists he burst onto the scene in late 1966 after being brought to England by Animals' bassist Chas Chandler.
Since the death of Jimi Hendrix in 1970 his music and image have become synonymous with creativity and style. Jimpress has been providing a news and information service to collectors of the music of Jimi Hendrix since 1991. Our first issue had just eight pages. Now we regularly run to over 50 pages of Jimi Hendrix news, reviews and much more. If you need to keep up to date with all things Jimi Hendrix then you need a subscription to Jimpress. Jimpress currently publishes two issues a year. Nominally Spring and Autumn, although 2010 will see an extra, Summer, issue added to the schedule. We are expecting there to be a lot of news in 2010 when the distribution of the Hendrix catalogue passes to Sony Legacy. Jimi is buried in Renton, just outside his home town of Seattle, Washington.

Our Other Publications
Jimpress have published a number of other publications. A more detailed description of each is provided on their dedicated pages.
The Studio Log 2008 Edition A chronological guide to all Jimi's studio sessions. See the appropriate page for more details.
From The Benjamin Franklin Studios The most comprehensive guide to Jimi Hendrix's recordings ever compiled. It includes all studio and live recordings, even those made by fans on primitive (by today's standards) recorders. It has grown so much that the third edition (currently being prepared for publication) has been split into three volumes.
Look Over Yonder A complete guide to all the available film and video footage of Jimi. Once again this even includes amateur concert footage shot from a vantage point in the audience. See the appropriate page for fuller details, however, this has now sold out and will not be re-published before 2011.
Just published - Comprehensive Guide to Jimi Hendrix in London, New York, and New Jersey.
