The Investment Analysts in Africa forum is a network which links Finance Professionals and Analysts experienced in African Capital Markets with local and global investors on Wall Street, Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The networking of professionals is designed to facilitate interaction on investment ideas and market themes, as well as mentoring analysts. It promotes ethical and professional standards within the investment industry, encourages professional development, and facilitates the open exchange of information and opinions.

Financial professionals include CFAs, chief investment officers, directors of research, investment analysts, asset managers or portfolio managers (mutual & hedge), traders, private equity and venture capital specialists, investment bankers, investment vendors, sell-side analysts, buy-side research analysts, quantitative analysts, consultants and traders involved in investment research. Members are engaged in the decision making processes in the field of finance, investment management and research.

The network of security analysts promotes awareness and understanding of securities analysis, investing, and the operation of the securities markets. It also focuses on the application of new and innovative techniques in finance -new metrics, analytic tools, methodologies, and benchmarks - with particular emphasis on the use of quantitative techniques in analyzing investment portfolios, asset allocation, measuring financial performance and risk management.
