Paul Lee Pesiri (born 22 January 1960) is an American musician. Bass guitarist, songwriter and composer. Paul grew up in South Florida and has been playing bass professionally since the early 80's. Performing with many of the top

bands in Florida and Atlanta Georgia. Shows mostly consisting of Clubs, Cooperate events, Private functions, Discovery Cruise Lines, Palm Beach Princess and the Florida Keys circuit. Including the famous Holiday Isle Tiki bar and Sloppy Joe's in Key West.

Technique

Paul's bass playing makes a bass guitar, a support instrument into a full-fledged solo vehicle. His innovative slapping style and speed emphasizes low, mid and high frequencies. Utilizing a double-thumbing technique which uses the thumb to strike the string both downwards and upwards, similar to a guitar pick. He utilizes all of these techniques to achieve an amazing array of sounds during live performance. Paul functions as a bass player in a band and also as a bass soloist.

Instruments

Main basses are a Fodera Classic Monarch. It features a Mahogany body with a flamed Maple top. Pre-Gibson Tobias Basic consisting of Walnut, Eastern maple and Purple heart stringers. 1966 Fender Jazz, MTD 5 string fretless, and various other basses. Crown power amplifiers, Alembic F1-X pre-amps with Alesis effects processors, Rane EQ, S.W.R bottoms equipped with RCF 18s or JBLs. For mids and highs either Hartke XL 4 X 10 or SWR Goliath lll 4 X 10 cabinets.
