Most of the list you see in the various PortlandTech sub-category pages come from the intersection of two category tags (found at the bottom of WikiPages).

The syntax for generating these lists are simple:

<intersect>Category 1, Category 2</intersect>

This then generates a list of pages that have both categories on them.

For use in the PortlandTech pages, the first category is always [[Category:PortlandTech]] and the others are logical categories, as listed on the pages, under the page lists. Currently, these categories are:

  • [[Category:Company]]
  • [[Category:Software]]
  • [[Category:Venture Capital]]
  • [[Category:Law Firm]]
  • [[Category:Other Company]]
  • [[Category:Media]]
  • [[Category:Blog]]
  • [[Category:Wiki]]
  • [[Category:Forum]]
  • [[Category:Newspaper]]
  • [[Category:Website Only]]
  • [[Category:Other Media]]
  • [[Category:Groups]]
  • [[Category:User Group]]
  • [[Category:Community]]
  • [[Category:Organization]]
  • [[Category:Other Group]]
  • [[Category:People]]
  • [[Category:Consultant]]
  • [[Category:Lawyer]]
  • [[Category:CEO]]
  • [[Category:CFO]]
  • [[Category:Other Management]]

Naturally, where appropriate, please tag PortlandTech pages with multiple categories to make sure the WikiPage is on all appropriate lists. (For example: [[Category:PortlandTech]] [[Category:Blog]] [[Category:User Group]] will place a blog that serves as a user group's website on both the "Blog" and "User Group" page listings.)
