- So tonight I buckled to peer pressure. Alea drank about 1/2 ounce of vanilla soymilk straight today, which is quite the accomplishment (maternal sigh). During dinner I thought I'd try adding some chocolate flavoring, because, you know, EVERYONE has told me that she'll love it. HAH! She didn't give me the why-are-you-poisoning-me face; instead I was treated to the Mom-you-know-I-don't-like-this-stuff face. Bigger sigh. She drank nothing after her first sip but was very happy to play with the sippy cup. I think James might demand a DNA paternity test after he reads this. Maybe she was unhappy with the gazillion pounds of chocolate that she was exposed to in utero? I still have hopes for the strawberry flavoring, as the girl loves her fruit. Then we'll have to go gourmet and make her smoothies or something. (A messy last resort; I just can't imagine cleaning the blender every day).
