- Hello, my name is Eliot Piltz, and Hand Cut Films is my company. In an age of digital editing, the name is a metaphor of my belief that most crafts are best done by hand: compare antique furniture with today’s ubiquitous Made in China brands, or a potter’s masterful collection to cheap dishes made in a factory. Thereby my goal is to be creative, precise and deliberate with every cut, and tell the best story possible, given the tools and materials available.
