If you enter "--~~~~" the system will insert your login as a wiki signature. By doing this, people can easily go to your user page anytime they see your signature. Below are instructions to improve this even more by adding a link to go directly to your "talk" page. --User:Ray King | talk 15:36, 20 August 2006 (PDT)
- If you enter "--~~~" you will not have the date stamp attached.
Improving wiki signature with the addition of a talk link
- Click on the "Preferences" link at the top of any page.
- Copy this into the "Your nickname (for signatures)" field (replacing YourName and LoginName with your names):
[[YourName]] | <small>[[User talk:LoginName|talk]]</small>
- Make sure there is a check mark in the "Raw signatures (without automatic link)" checkbox.
- Click the Save Preferences button
