I think the very things you told me to do in this email under the heading: 'Forming a new List' (or something!)

It seemed that the page led you to info on creating a list, but then only spoke of editing it.  So, the creation part seemed to be missing.

Also, point out that the list is edited by clicking on the tab at the top.  It is small and easy to miss.

The idea that the list is generated through the tags and then available to edit is where I was hung up.

Also, how do I become an official ListKeeper?  I am wondering if the site tags that I changed because they were totally off will just anger the owner!  I am not a nit-pick, but a couple of sites on the list(s) were way off base, so I took off the tags.

I guess I am expecting some retaliation - lol!

Anyway, I appreciate the work you are doing!

Yay Tara!

What would we need to have said on the ListKeeping page that would have helped you out?

Best, Mark

Eureka!

Now I see what you want me to do!

Not to criticize, but that List Keeper page needs a little more info!

Thank you!!

Tara

Hi Tara,

Go to any website page on AboutUs that fits in your list.  Add the tag, which is at the bottom of the page.

Click on that tag after you have saved it.  That takes you to a list page where you can edit the title and description.

Let me know if that makes sense or not :-)

Best, Mark

Well, yes, but then, how do I 'create' a tag or actually name the list?

Are they automatically created when I type them in at the bottom of my own site listing?

And if so, how is the name/title of the list created?

Hi Tara! :-)

Excited that you want to create your own list.

We hope that this page (which is like an index) helps people figure out lists:

http://www.aboutus.org/ListKeeping

But that doesn't sound like it did :-(  sorry!

Basically - lists are created by tags.

the two lists in the homeopathic search were:

http://www.aboutus.org/list/allergies

and

http://www.aboutus.org/list/healing

so if you see the pattern, the tag at the end of the list, then you can check homeopathic

http://www.aboutus.org/list/homeopathic

There are 947 websites on that list - so you may want to 'clean' the list up, or start your own list.

You would do that by coming up with a fairly unique tag.  HomeopathicProducts has 19 websites to start:

http://www.aboutus.org/list/homeopathicproducts

So you remove sites from the list by removing that particular tag and you add them to the list by adding that particular tag.

Changes usually are pretty quick, but can take a little time to show.  Let me know if it takes more than 24 hours for a change to appear for you.

Does this make any sense?

Best, Mark

Yes!  Actually, I think the 'no results' was on a previous try for something else.

Anyway, neither of those lists are for or about homeopathy ro homeopathic products.  So, I'd like to make a new list.

I may even want to do additional lists for other things I'm keen on, but I don't see how to proceed.

I'm sorry if it's obvious and I'm just missing it!  :)

Hi Tara,

Lists are confusing, for sure.  When I do a search for homeopathic - I get two lists:

Sneeze, Wheeze, Allergies

Healing: Resources & Information

at  http://www.aboutus.org/Special/search?tags=homeopathic

Do you see that?

When you ask 'Now what?'  - what are you referring to?  Starting your own list, fixing up an existing list?

:-)

Thanks for your patience with us!

Best, Mark Dilley

Hello MarkDilley,

Hi Mark,

I am a webdesigner, and even your list creation has me stumped.

When I do a search for 'homeopathic', there are no lists returned.

Now what?  The instructions are confusing and I can usually get through

all kinds of things.

Help!  :)
