Timelord offers original short stories and novellas by Kenny Davidson. The linking subject matter concerns strange things happening to time, resulting in a mix of science fiction, fantasy and ghost stories.

The presentation takes the idea of a paperback and puts it on-screen.  You have two pages open side-by-side on screen at a time, no need to scroll, turn the pages by clicking on the corners, or click on the tabs to go between chapters. It doesn't require Flash or Java applets; its just simple HTML pages, and a metaphor carried forward for the design.  There is even virtual bookmarks which keep your place in the story for when you return.  Beyond the novel metaphor, each page also comes with an audio option where the pages are read to you.

History
Between 1999 and 2006, the website was a community fansite for the BBC series Doctor Who. It housed listings, features, and a large amount of downloads, fan-fiction and artwork based on the show.

During this time, the site operated as an archive, showcasing material which would first be posted onto a neighbouring message board, hosted externally. This forum changed location a number of times, most notably from a Yahoo Club to an Ezboard in 2001, but despite these changes the online community remained largely intact until 2005.

At this stage, groups within the community wished to host their own material separately, and the site's entire content gradually began to be rehoused onto separate satellite sites. The neighbouring forum at the time now houses a large amount of the archive alongside current material and can be found here.

In 2006, with all the fan-based material successfully rehoused, Timelord was relaunched as a personal website for the owner's original science fiction.
