Winning a regional White Pages Art Award means the artist’s work features on the cover of their region’s White Pages and quickly becomes iconic. That’s because the White Pages can be found in almost all homes and businesses in the country and hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders use them every day.

The White Pages Art Awards gives a total of $63,000 to 18 emerging and established artists each year, making it one of New Zealand’s most significant art competitions. Each regional winner is selected from the many hundreds of entries received in the annual awards.
