His Glory Search, Rescue and Aid Team activities began in 1978 while we were helping after the San Marcus, Texas flood. Then again after the devastation of tornadoes and floods that followed.
For years following we saw firemen and law enforcement personnel respond risking their very lives by responding during a disaster without proper training and equipment. In some cases we saw communities hit with disasters left without any rescue personnel, leaving them to fend for themselves.
The bottom line is we realized then that there was a great need for an organization that could respond quickly with equipment and trained rescuers to the scene of disasters without the costly delays that politics sometimes causes. We also realized that the need would become greater in the future.
