- All products on my Western GunLeather pages are hand cut and hand crafted one at a time, just as in the saddle shops of the 19th Century. Everything I make which represents the 19th Century, is true to the period. Many of the holsters and belts I build are variations of antique gun leather found in museums across the West. The classic book, Packing Iron, Gunleather of the Frontier West , by Richard C. Rattenbury, contains photos and description which have been particularly inspirational as I build holsters and belts.
