Warfare Project - About
The goal of Warfare Project is to provide wargamers a central portal for playing all their favorite wargames (boardgames focusing on tactical and strategic wars) online. Customizable tools, forums, and shared online storage will be some of the tools developed for Warfare Project.
The idea for the site came about while playing a long lasting game of Empires in Arms (© Australian Design Group), and dealing with the difficulties of keeping that game going and organized. The tools and resources on this site are designed to help manage the complexity of play by email (pbem), and gives you a central location for your game. Early focus will be on Empires in Arms (EiA), but tools for other wargames will be added as requested.
WarfareProject.com is written exclusively in java. It runs on apache tomcat using mainly servlets to dynamically create the pages. Data is stored in mysql database.
