I have had so many comments about my unusual name. Some think it might be an old family name or a strange combination of two names like ‘Vinny and Renae’ but the truth is my father was in the Korean war. He was severely wounded and almost lost his left leg. If it hadn’t been for a very special, wonderful Vietnamese nurse working there in Korea named ‘Vinae’, he probably wouldn’t have made it home and I wouldn’t be here today.
