I was born August 27, 1952 in New Orleans, Louisiana at Algiers General Hospital, the son of Joseph Hickman Oster and Henrietta Marie Galliano. My godparents are cousin Farrell Joseph Galliano and my childhodd neighbor Joyce Danos. My only sibling is my older sister Karen Marie who married Daniel James Caruso.

My first twenty-eight years were spent in Marrero, on the Westbank (of the Mississippi River). My next eight years were in the Vieux Carré, the French Quarter. For the past nine years I have lived here in Tampa. I finally settled down and bought a house. I've lived here with my cocker spaniel, Trey

, until May, 2000. My spare time for the past year has been consumed with my house and garden, and when not sleeping, it's genealogy.
