Description
Valley First Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that is owned by our members. Unlike banks who are in business for their shareholders, we are in business for our members. The money earned by banks is paid out to a few shareholders. We give the money back to our members in the form of higher dividend rates on savings and lower loan rates. Additionally, the money deposited by credit union members is in turn loaned out to other members, incorporating the "people-helping-people" philosophy.
You are eligible for membership with Valley First Credit Union if you live, regularly work, regularly worship or attend school in either Stanislaus or San Joaquin County, if you are employed with an employer group specifically listed in the credit union's field of membership, or are an immediate family member of a Valley First Credit Union member.
