Hello and welcome to AboutUs. You can also generate new pages by typing them into any Find! box. Let me know if you have any questions. Best, MarkDilley

Nice job on reverting! We are hoping to show other folks what we are doing by WikiLinking common tasks (see Glossary) in the summary field, so that they are seen in recent changes and in the pages history. We hope that whenever the person finally understands we are having a conversation with them, they can link to the type of work we did. Best, MarkDilley
Thanks, also for pointing me to Glossary.

The _apps/BuildNow/build API function looks useful, some explanation gives /skins/common/generatePage.js. Is this and maybe more documented somewhere? Whitby

hmmm, I don't know much about that, but will ping Brandon about it. MarkDilley

Hi Whitby, core Mediawiki and the AboutUs extensions are both really sparsely documented right now. I'm starting to produce some better documentation for both. Are you interested in working on the documentation effort too? --Brandon CS Sanders

What I know of php, sql, python, or any mainstream language is too little for to be able to write documentations, I'm sorry. Visible extensions display page content. What I'm trying to find out is rather how an editor-client (no ajax, no sql) of a database using Mediawiki might look like. The small function mentioned seems quite useful and may replace some screen scraping. Show me an example of a format you think appropriate and I will copyedit what I noted, it's not much though. --Whitby 11:53, 21 December 2006 (PST)
