Thanks!
Thank you for the great testimonial - I'm very happy that you like using AboutUs.org. I wanted to point you to our articles for business owners and ways to promote your website here (like getting a DoFollow link). Backlinks
Hi, Thomas,
I notice you know something about backlinks. Can you email me, Aliza Earnshaw, at ? I'd like to gauge your interest in writing something about backlinks for the site.
Re: Sitemaps
That's a good question. I would definitely suggest that you should submit a sitemap to Google or put one on your site. It's a good way to help improve your odds of having all of the web pages in it indexed so they can show up in search results.
Here at AboutUs.org we're in the same boat with having a large site that's always growing. I don't know if there's any guidance or best practice for how often to update your sitemap, but we don't do it very often - maybe every 3-6 months. We should probably do it more often, but it can be time consuming and I don't think it's a huge priority for us, so we don't.

No Meta Description
I'm not a very technical person, so this isn't something I have done. Since that's a blogspot.com subdomain site I'm not sure how you would go about that, but if you poke around there or contact them they might be able to help you with that. Seems like they would want to help the SEO of their site as a whole. Let me know if you have any questions, sorry I'm not more helpful with this one.
If you email my colleagues may know more too.

- it has been so long for me in terms of using my blogger accounts I don't remember exactly - but I think you can edit the html for the site and add it, here is W3Schools.com example. Best, MarkDilley
