- Bugmenot0123 (frustrated) : cvent repeatedly harvests email addresses from websites and then spams them with advertisements. This practice is illegal under the CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, 15 U.S.C. 7704(b). We report all such Cvent spam to three places: SpamCop.net, the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov and the Better Business Bureau http://dc-easternpa.bbb.org/complaints/commoncomplaint.html?step=1. . We also contact the employees of Cvent directly and encourage them to cease this unethical and illegal practice:
