I'm the webmaster for BennettsCreek.org, a Virginia little league website. My job is to make the BCLL website the best looking and most functional Little League website in Virginia.

My main design approach is to do entirely css-based webpages, meaning there are no tables or frames, and no Javascript used in rollovers. I got the concept of separating style from substance from css Zengarden. The hardest part is to make the website look consistent across different browsers. Since I use both Macs and PC's, I try to make sure Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, and Safari all work.

Since I not strong with PHP or Visual Basic .NET yet, I wrote a series of programs to generate HTML from data tables using Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0, so very few pages are generated at the client.

I have a tendency to avoid at all cost any ClipArt or other graphics I haven't created. The tools I use to produce graphics are Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (which I am stronger with). Also, I use Adobe GoLive for some authoring, but mostly for site management.

Here's a list of IP addresses I've blocked for loading spam on our guest book:

I have since used a Google Blog[1] to replace guestbook functionality. It was the quickest and easiest fix.
