I was born and brought up in North West London going to school at Habs in Elstree and studying Geography at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge University. I kept myself busy there with sport, college politics and the odd bit of study before moving to London and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant whilst with Arthur Andersen.
My brother's sudden death aged just 21 followed shortly afterwards by my mother's death changed my life path and after moving back home with my family for a while I joined and then ran the family business.
My personal bereavement experience was the catalyst for the idea that a website memorial could help in the grieving process and this idea has became reality in the shape of the online memorial charity Muchloved.
Over the last few years I've become married and now have a young family around me which means its still busy but more in a milk, nappies, yawn, wash, feed kind of way.
