This is my PersonalPage, Allen Briggs. For information on my website, check out allenbriggs. I am a 76 year old retired lawyer who now teaches business law and international business law, and a course in international trade law at a university in the Pattaya, Thailand area, about 150 km from the capital city of Bangkok. My university, Asian University , offers degrees in liberal arts, [B.A. and some other classes, including a degree in multi media], the Engineering faculty offers both a Bachelor of Engineering Degree and a cooperative Master's degree in cooperation with Bangkok's Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). In Pattaya, our Business Administration faculty, our largest faculty and the one in which I am active, offers the MBA, BBA and MSM (Master of Science in Management) degrees. The MBA degree courses are particularly sought out by some of the more effective leaders in the local industrial park businesses, since they degree can be obtained by working Saturdays only, or Saturdays and Sundays, until all course requirements are met. Such degrees bring extra recognition to the employee, and I am told, considerable increases in pay rates in most cases, making the MBA degree especially desirable and helpful "on the job". See the Asian University web site, asianust.ac.th for further information on the MBA program, where part of each student's program of classes involves preparation of a thorough, professional - level independent study, which often covers some probem area in the student's employment field, or in which (s)he has effective input on the job. Students can work on a full thesis, if they choose to do so, in which event many of the class hours are waived in view of the incredible amount of time and effort that goes into an effective investigation of a topic for the thesis, with appropriate, professional-level, recommendations for dealing with issues arising in the employment.

Asian University's MBA program is particularly effective since it is conducted virtually 100% in the English language, so it gets widespread attention upon completion, with some such projects even qualifiying for publication in trade journals or other professional journals.
