- Trinoc*coN began in 1998 with a group of like minded people who got together in order to put together a speculative fiction conference in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park. After two long years of fund raising and some generous friends who believed that this could succeed in the triangle the first Trinoc*con was held at the Durham Marriott in 2000.
