The Saskatoon Travelodge Hotel in the city of Saskatoon is owned and operated by a group of local shareholders and is the largest Travelodge in Canada and the second largest hotel in Saskatchewan.
The Saskatoon Travelodge Hotel opened in 1972. The hotel has experienced four major expansions. The first, in 1977, enclosed the outdoor pool and added 30 new rooms and additional banquet space. In 1980 there was a four storey, 66 room additions, a new banquet room (Galaxy A) and the relocation of the bar. In 1984, the water slide / pool complex and 64 pool side / view rooms were added. The most recent expansion in 1999 added 51 new rooms designed with the executive corporate traveler in mind, bringing the total number of rooms to 268. Along with the new rooms, additional meeting room space was built (Galaxy B) to accommodate 1000 people for a meeting and 600 for a banquet.
