THOMPSON-LANGFORD CORPORATION was formed as a municipal and land development engineering and land surveying company in July of 1992. The company is the combination of two firms, a surveying firm and an engineering firm, that have been in existence in the Grand Valley since 1984; Thompson Surveying Inc., and J.E. Langford & Associates, Inc., respectively. By combining resources it was felt we could better serve the needs of both public and private clients throughout Western Colorado.
The office was founded in Grand Junction, Colorado, because of its proximity to our mutual areas of interest and experience, and because of the recreational and retirement industries rapidly developing in this unique region of the state. The company was founded on more than twenty years of progressive experience in Western Colorado. Providing surveying and design services to many of the smaller communities and such locally active national companies as Home Depot U.S.A., Cinemark U.S.A., Public Service Company, Union Oil of California, and Exxon U.S.A. We have been successful in servicing the western region of the state, using a small staff personally involved in each and every project.
We currently have a staff of twenty-one people, including four licensed engineers and four licensed land surveyors. Our surveying is performed with state of the art Robotic Total Stations, or Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and our designs are prepared utilizing computer aided design and drafting.
