Title

The Barton Farm, Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast on the edge of Exmoor National Park

Description

The Barton is a 133 acre dairy farm set in lovely countryside and woodland - you can walk for miles without even leaving the farm ( a good idea after eating one of the huge home cooked breakfasts), or you can take a pony ride around the farm. Fishing and horseriding can be arranged locally or, new for 2002, we can now provide stabling so you can bring your own horse with you. Good local pub food is available close by. The farmhouse itself is a 12th century building which is mentioned in The Doomsday Book, when Hamilton de Heanton was the rector of the parish of Kentisbury and The Barton was the manor house.
