As well as on the spot sales I also undertake some commission work; for furniture searches, painting, decoration, mural projects etc.
Items currently in stock range from a beautiful oiled oak sideboard and thirties fireside chairs, painted bedside cabinets and chests of drawers, Utility cupboards and laundry racks, to galvanized steel watering cans, raffia and wire food covers and enamel tea and coffee sets.
Initially started in 1999 as a summer project, when I finally gave into the desire to leave a career in London behind and return to my childhood home of Norfolk, The Shed is the culmination of various influences; from rummaging for 'treasure' in my Grandmother's shed as a child, to hours spent wandering the around furniture ateliers and markets in Florence whilst studying there a few years ago.
