TEPPCO owns and operates one of the largest common carrier pipelines of refined petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gases in the United States; owns and operates petrochemical and natural gas liquid pipelines; is engaged in crude oil transportation, storage, gathering and marketing; owns and operates natural gas gathering systems; and owns 50-percent interests in Seaway Crude Pipeline Company, Centennial Pipeline LLC, and Mont Belvieu Storage Partners, L.P., and an undivided ownership interest in the Basin Pipeline.

Teppco Divisions

The Downstream Segment - consists of interstate transportation, storage and terminaling of refined products and LPGs; short-haul shuttle transportation of LPGs and intrastate transportation of petrochemicals.

The Midstream Segment includes storage, transportation and fractionation of natural gas liquids (NGLs) and natural gas gathering.

The Upstream Segment includes gathering, storage, transportation and marketing of crude oil; and the distribution of lubrication oils and specialty chemicals principally in Oklahoma, Texas and the Rocky Mountain region. This segment also generates revenues from trade documentation and pumpover services, primarily at Cushing, Oklahoma, and Midland.

1940's: Started in World War 2 to move oil while German U-Boats were sinking oil tankers.
1960's Added 213 Miles of pipeline from Todhunter, Ohio, to Steubenville, Ohio.
1970's & 1980's Continued expansion and acquired by Panhandle Eastern Corporation.
1990's Purchased Colorado fractionators and crude oil assets.
2000 Acquired the Panola NGL Pipeline and the assets of ARCO Pipe Line Company.
2001 Acquired the Jonah Gas Gathering Company.
2002 Acquired Chaparral and Quanah.

Emergency Procedures

If you suspect a leak from the sound of the hiss, a pool of liquid coming out of the pipes, an explosion, a spot of frozen ground near the pipeline than you should call TEPPCO Products Pipeline at 1-800-530-1050. If you don't remember this number you should contact the police with 911. You should not use a cellphone close to the leak, nor should you start an engine, turn on or off a light or light a match/lighter. Abandon all equipment, leave the area and contact help from a safe distance.
