- Teaching Opportunities Abroad (TOA) is a new resource centre and employment board for those seeking paid and volunteer teaching opportunities abroad and for the schools and companies that hire them.
Mission
We want TOA to be more than just another employment board. Our goals are:
- To advertise teaching positions from schools with a good reputation. We have implemented a school verification system and we invite teachers to submit detailed school reviews to help us reach this goal. We will ensure that schools with a good track record (based on reviews, forum discussions, and research) announce their teaching positions on our employment board. Schools that engage in fraudulent practices will be banned from advertising on our website.
- To provide schools with a database of high-quality resumes from dedicated teachers. Because requirements vary from country to country, this does not mean teachers must have years of experience or a teaching degree. But it does mean we want to provide schools with resumes from people who truly love to teach and want to make a difference.
- To be informative. This is why we created the blog that will feature a panoply of articles to help you make informed decisions and to prepare for your teaching adventure abroad. You can also browse our School Reviews section to find more information about specific schools.
- To become a community. This is why we created the forums. Don't be shy to use them! But remember that our purpose is to share, help, and support others; so please display a positive and friendly attitude in the forums.
