Crewe and Nantwich Sustainability Alliance
Description
The Sustainability Alliance addresses Agenda 21 issues in Crewe and Nantwich Borough. We aim to safeguard our environment for the future by creating sustainable local communities, thus improving the long term quality of life for their residents. We initiate, support and coordinate a wide range of practical work in pursuit of this aim, bringing together enthusiasm and expertise from many related organisations in our Borough.
The Alliance currently comprises a management group and several other task-based action groups each implementing a particular action from the 2003 action plan. In broad terms these actions cover the following areas:
Cycle racks on Crewe railway station, green transport plans with major local companies, commenting on planning applications, new cycle path from Maw Green to Crewe town centre.
