Description
My name is Susanna Baker, once (about 40 years ago) known by my family as SusannaBanana. I am a professional artist who mainly does printmaking. When my son was born, the best gifts I got were original artwork from friends. I started creating fun prints to finish covering his walls. As he got older, I began to experiment with furniture that was fun and interactive. He's my QA guy, so everything I make can withstand an active two year old's destructive tendencies and is guaranteed to capture their imagination - at least for a little while!
I will creatively design and make furniture for kids. The more interactive the better. I have a lot of designs I've come up with that I think are really fun, but I am always open for new ideas - for example, if your child is musical we can design a chair that is a musical instrument. I make monoprints. A monoprint is a unique print, each print is hand pulled from an incised plexiglass plate and then hand colored with watercolor paints. I print on Rives BFK - a high quality acid-free paper. Because of my technique, each print is a unique piece of art. I've created a few prints to brighten your child's room.
