Stoxnet was started in December 2002 by the site administrator Daniel O'Neill as a parallel project alongside the ‘OLSCPA Forum’ which was a forum attached to the Opposite Lock website administered jointly between Daniel and the Opposite Lock webmasters Stephanie Valentine and Nick Eastwood. Stoxnet’s original ambition was to become a ‘Reuters-like’ newswire service for BriSCA F1 stockcar racing – feeding the growing number of enthusiast websites with news, results, opinion and photos from fans, promoters and drivers alike.
