- GeneralRepairs.com is the creation and ongoing journal of Jerry Stover, a designer, builder, and woodworker living in Columbia, South Carolina. Jerry discovered woodworking and building over ten years ago after purchasing his first home. The house was a disaster and with limited funds Jerry took to remodeling the house on his own with little to go by other then his own willingness to try. That first attempt at remodeling led to Jerry’s current career as a licensed Residential Home Builder. Jerry’s work varies from custom furniture design, remodel solutions, and new home construction. With a degree in English from the University of South Carolina, his chosen career path was unexpected, but has proven to be a choice derived from passion. Jerry’s philosophy is simple, to explore and contribute to woodworking and building through daily work, and to post his findings on GeneralRepairs.com to promote discussion and interest amongst others.
