St Clement Danes School
Description
Introduction
St. Clement Danes is an all-ability 11-18 co-educational School with 1086 on roll including 220 in the Sixth Form. The School is set in pleasant rural/suburban surroundings in South West Hertfordshire between the towns of Rickmansworth and Amersham. The School is oversubscribed at all levels and it attracts students from other Schools into the Sixth form. It has an excellent reputation within the local community and students from over 40 feeder primary schools apply for places at secondary transfer.
In this all-ability School we are committed to maximising the potential of each student. We ensure that every student follows a broad and balanced curriculum, which fully meets his or her needs and in Years 7 to 11 conforms to the requirements of the National curriculum. In the Sixth Form the School provides over 20 AS and A Level courses and AVCE Business Studies together with NVQ Languages.
The ultimate challenge to any School is to ensure that the delivery of the curriculum stretches and supports each individual student in their learning. This we do at St. Clement Danes by regularly monitoring, assessing and informing students and their parents of their progress' by setting in the majority of subjects' by having an active enrichment and extension policy for the more able; and providing learning support for those students who need it.
