- Born and raised in eastern Massachusetts, north of Boston. Went to Haverhill High School. Commuted to MassArt for awhile. Majored in nothing in particular, stopped going. Worked at an All for a Dollar and a Taco Bell and a Radio Shack. Worked in a warehouse in Lawrence, Mass that was home to river rats the size and slickness of large oily cats. Moved to western Massachusetts, grew particularly fond of sentence fragments; decided to stay.
