- There are plans for a new stadium in Northern Ireland for sports events and concerts. The Maze (near Lisburn), is the governments preferred site since they dismissed Titanic Quarter (Central/East Belfast) and the North Foreshore (North Belfast). Latterly though, proposals were put forward to develop the stadium at 2 other sites - Ormeau Park in south Belfast, and the former Maysfield Leisure Centre site beside Central Station.
