Speed101 is in it's infancy as of 9/2002 (and this is a rushed bio...). Speed101 is slowly accelerating as I grow familiar with tools of websites - FrontPage / DreamWeaver, HTML, JavaScript, Style Sheets, and so forth. I have a great deal of potential content, but little is yet assembled on the pages and linked together. It is largely "unformatted" at this point (no CSS style, etc...), but I'm at least now laying an initial "framework." There's a lot of fuss to do anything with a website.
Speed101 was created shortly after I began racing "speedbikes" again in late 1999/2000. I first raced in college and had the exciting experience of defeating the world hour and top-speed record holding racer in head-to-head competition both years I raced. I never pursued record attempts. Upon resuming racing, I have briefly held several world speed records (notes), and currently hold the official US top speed records for "human power." (no wind, no downhill, etc...). I hold the peculiar "distinction" of having gone faster under my own muscle power than any US citizen (78.02-MPH. No disrespect to any track sprinter, or the awesome talent, discipline and technical refinement of so many various athletes). It is a journey of body, mind, and hands (and perhaps words now too).
