Description
It goes without saying, unlike other sites, that this site is for climbers, by climbers. Well, ya think? der! But aside from that the site is meant to be a central repository for current information on climbing, climber's beta and for updates to the Guidebook. No, the site is not run by, nor owned by, the guidebook authors, but they are great friends, and this site would not be possible without their enthusiasm, support, their vast knowledge of climbing in the area, and their true love of the adventure that is climbing. So when I say "us" I mean the climbing community. Now don't get all wishy-washy on me...
But the site is not just designed to supplement the guide, it is also meant to be a feedback loop, on ratings, on style, on new lines, on old lines, on freed lines, on anything deemed important to climbers that come to or live in this region. With that said, I hope climbers will trust that the site is done with the best of intentions and eagerest of hearts. It is my hope that climbers will feel free to submit information, corrections and their experiences through the site as well as directly to the authors for sharing on the site or in the guide. So in addition to the authors, this site would not be possible without input and thought from other climbers that visit, that stay, and that live in the area.
If a rating seems off on the site, let us know. If a dangerous condition exists, let us know. If an area seems to be impacted and there is a thoughful solution, let us know. And especially if you put up a new line, let us know (remember if you don't want it public just yet on the site just let us know that also) If you have a good picture, let us know. And, if it doesn't go up on the site, just remind me. I do have a day job that pays *most* of the bills so I sometimes forgot to add things. Support if you can, if the site was useful for you. I also just like to hear the "attaboy" too. heh!
